Rustic Glam Decor

This week I had the honor of styling decor for a women's leadership night at Buckhead Church! The goal was to host an intimate night of worship and teaching for some of the amazing female leaders at the church, and I had a great time helping bring the vision for their event to life! The look we went for was feminine with a touch of rustic (gorgeous picnic tables!) that we personalized by having a talented calligrapher write different beautiful and meaningful words on each of the tables that connected to the message for the night.

The words were written on butcher paper (find some similar HERE) that we rolled out and cut. It's an inexpensive touch that is super easy to use to customize each table as well as some of the food tables!

The word on each table was flanked by multi-sized gold and glass geometric terrarium boxes (these were ordered through a wholesaler, but you can find similar HERE). Inside the boxes we used copper twinkle lights (my FAVORITE), and we covered the ugly giant battery packs with pink aquarium gravel. We accented them with fresh seeded eucalyptus from Trader Joe's, white pillar candles and a gold metallic votive

The theme for the night was "Free" so each attendee also received a beautiful wood sign with the word "free" written on it that the speaker used for a very personal illustration/exercise. The signs were custom made by Charles & B Boutique

We changed up the usual six-foot table scape by mixing in some rustic wooden picnic tables that helped make the room feel more cozy and relaxed. The picnic tables were decorated with one of my favorite centerpieces I've ever custom made (tutorial coming later this week!) - battery powered string lights on birch branches with moss strips (I ordered these HERE and cut them in half) and gold metallic votives in the center of the table. They also worked great on the food tables to help give some extra light and accent.

Can I tell you how much I loved the dessert bar?! We repurposed two lemonade stands that were in the building (they used to be blue, we painted them white!) and carried on with the string light theme, putting some cafe lights across the front and also adding in one of the picnic table centerpieces. A mixture of white cake plates and platters were used to display the lovely mini pies and s'mores cookies and everything was accented with eucalyptus and white hydrangeas.

I absolutely loved being able to create this space for some stellar women leaders who more than deserve a space just for them to feel valued and worthy!
