Intimate Morning Wedding

Moment of honesty...I am SO not a morning person. But I will tell you that I absolutely loved everything about this morning wedding we designed a few months ago! (which helps, because we had to wake up about the time I'm usually going to bed, if we're going full disclosure here. Also, this wedding was sponsored by my coffee pot. Just kidding...well, not really.)

One of my favorite parts about wedding design and planning is being able to customize an experience that is perfectly reflective of the bride and groom's personalities. And from the moment I met Jenny and Mark, I could tell this was going to be a unique day! With their casual, laid back persona, it was clear that a traditional evening wedding wasn't their style. Instead of dancing the night away, the couple opted for an intimate, morning ceremony with a lunch reception that allowed them the space to really sit down, relax and enjoy authentic conversation with each of their guests.

The ceremony was at an adorable little church in Rome, Georgia that was special to the bride's family. From there, guests traveled to the Ruins at Barnsley Gardens where they were met at the entrance with fresh mimosas as they made their way to the side lawn for a leisurely brunch cocktail hour.

The bride wanted to keep to a style of simple elegance, with lots of fresh greenery and white florals. We brought in some beautiful vintage furniture from our friends at Collection Event Rentals to create a truly luxurious lounging environment. Seriously, in all my years of weddings, I don't think I've ever felt as laid back and chill as I did at this one! I love that the bride and groom got to actually sit and enjoy the space, as well as laugh and chat with their friends with a no-rush feeling.

The great thing about a fall afternoon wedding in the south? The party doesn't end when the reception does! Because many of the guests were staying at the resort, after a romantic dinner, the bride and groom met up with everyone that evening in the courtyard for some outdoor football viewing and more social time. What a great way to end the perfect day!
